The nominal QO100 uplink which is using a dish reflector requires a left hand circular polarized (LHCP) feed. This is because the dish reflection mirrors the polarization and turns it from left to right hand as the satellite expects it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what if you have a dual reflector like OH2JKU in Finnland? You need to use an RHCP version of the IceConeFeed which is now available on request. It essentially is a mirrored version of the original LHCP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OH2JKU is only allowed to mount a single dish at his premises (but obviously no limits on number of LNBs \ud83d\ude09 So this is the solution he came up with and it works great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
